Ty Dillon is an American singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from San Antonio, Texas.
Dillon began practicing music at an early age of 4. He was singing in the kids’ choir at church, and playing drums in his private Christian elementary school worship service. Ty discovered his love for performing and songwriting when he was drummer and sole writer for his high school garage band called First Heal. Later on, he discovered the legitimacy of a singing career after spending time leading worship at his church.
Ty left San Antonio in 2012 to pursue a degree in Music Business from Dallas Baptist University. His time in school was filled with late nights dancing at Billy Bob’s Texas or playing gigs at bars around the DFW area. After a year of classes, he moved back to San Antonio where he would get a job on stage singing country hits at Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
In 2014, Dillon moved to San Marcos, Texas to join the ranks of some of the most well-known songwriters in Texas Music. Once his foot was in the door, he began to play “Ty Dillon Tuesday” at Cheatham Street Warehouse.
Then in 2015, Ty released his first full length album entitled Sunsets and Pickups. His original music has allowed him to share the stage with notable acts such as John Michael Mongomery, Deana Carter, Zane Williams, Mike Ryan and Kyle Park and many others.
Now at 23 years old, Ty is writing for his 3rd studio album expected to release in late 2017. Ty is now on tour promoting Sunsets And Pickups and current radio single, When She Laughs.
